North East Victoria offers a wide range of experiences to suit every kind of traveller!  Those looking for a little adventure are well catered for throughout the region. Get a bird's eye view like no other in a microlight or paraglide from Mystic Point.

Perhaps abseiling or rock climbing is more your style. An abundance of Alpine tracks are ideal for dirt bikes, mountain bikes or 4WDs, or you can hit the roads and climb some of Australia's most challenging ascents.

North East Victoria is fast becoming a premier cycling destination with a number of high class events throughout the year. The snow capped mountains are home to some of Australia's best ski resorts with Mount Hotham being called Australia's 'freeride capital'.  Falls Creek offers a range of terrain for all levels and a great Village and Mount Buffalo is the perfect snow play destination for families.

A unique horse riding experience is on offer amongst the breathtaking Alpine backdrop or you could explore the Alpine National Park with a relaxed or challenging bushwalk. The world famous walk to 'Mt Feathertop' is a must do for avid hikers & climbers.  Hit the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail for a truly memorable & leisurely experience taking in the surrounds on 2 wheels.

Food & Wine in the Alpine Valleys

 

The Alpine Valleys are definitely on the food & wine lovers radar with amazing locally grown produce, artisan producers, delicious chef's hat restaurants and fabulous boutique beer & wine trails.

Get the freshest of seasonal produce straight from the source from a local farm gate or food store. Go foraging for mushrooms, pick your own berries, roast chestnuts by the fire or catch & prepare the freshest river trout. There is an experience on offer for all budding foodies.

Sample the regions award winning cool climate wineries & boutique breweries. Leave the car at home and take a guided tour or hit the 'Rail Trail' by bike with a custom 'pedal to produce' basket to sample the Valley's goodies along the way. Follow the 'High Country Brewery Trail' stopping at some good old country pubs along the way - many with a menu to rival the city gastropubs.
