Perched up high to take in the outside greenery is the stylish family home, Hygge.

Hygge meaning 'cosiness - sharing good food & drink with friends' suits this modern and spacious property to a tea.

The modern yet cosy design of this ideal family home offers gorgeous views from the floor to ceiling glass extending out on to the sunny deck.

Warm by the wood fire in winter with a glass of local red or enjoy the afternoon breeze through the sliding doors on a summers day after a dip in the river.

Your fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need to feed a family, there's even a toddler high chair for your use.  A BBQ on the deck might be more your style or head down the road for a quality pub or cafe meal.

A flat screen TV lets you curl up with a DVD, however regular channels cannot be received.

4 roomy bedrooms perfectly accommodate 2 families with a 2 bedrooms per side of house, each with a modern bathroom.  The movable beds offer the option to have king or single beds in every bedroom.  The 2 masters on each end also have access to the deck and sunny mountain views.

The large carport below the house leads into your spacious laundry with ski racks, as well as a drying robe for those days on the slopes.  We are at the base of 2 of Victoria's premier ski resorts after all!

Under the shade of the house you will also find your fully enclosed dog run with a kennel to keep your furry friend safe & happy while you explore the region.

Large comfortable house in quiet location. Extra cost for more than 2 adults should be noted, especially if all 4 bedrooms are occupied.

We had a lovely, peaceful time at Hygge. House is family friendly and the perfect set up for 2 families if required. Our dog loved it too!! The house is the perfect walking distance into town with great coffee available and we enjoyed the local walks. Bright is an easy drive away. Highly recommended!

Our stay was fantastic! Can definitely recommend a stay here. We were a family of four (kids 6 and 8). There was loads of bushwalking, kangaroos at the back door and loads of good old fashioned games of cards etc. This house felt like a home for our whole stay. Great to be able to walk to the kid friendly pub for dinner most nights!

Lovely property, 20 mins drive from Bright.

The property was very nice and clean. Had more than the basics you would find at a normal holiday house such as full sets of utensils, cookware and cutlery, games, books, DVDs, toys and more.
The only issues we had was it was a bit far out from Bright for us. We were aware that it was about 25 mins from Bright when booking but this proved more annoying than we anticipated and this is the only reason we wouldn't stay again. If you don't mind being a bit out from Bright this property is great. Also the open fire was quite smokey. Overall I think the property is great value for money and exactly as described.

Its not often a property meets all the expectations of the brochures but this one does. The house works perfectly for a group and all the mod cons were provided. It was a pleasure to come back to after a hard days ride. We really enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen. The only downside to Harrietville is you have to drive to Bright to buy any supplies so make sure you stock up before you arrive. I would certainly come again.

A beautiful, peaceful house in a perfect location. Highly recommended

The house is lovely and bright, close to the local pub which offers fantastic food and about 20 mins from Bright. It's feels quite secluded albeit in the middle of 2 properties and you do feel you have privacy. It's also pet friendly which is great. This place is actually perfect, very serene, pretty views and we would highly recommend it for families and couples alike with or without pets.

Excellent facilities, large dining table, and ample space to spread out. We delighted by the selection of DVDs.

What a great house Hygge is, perfect for our weekend away at the snow. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality affordable accommodation in the area. Can't wait to go back.

We had a fabulous time staying here. The dogs were happy and safe in the excellent enclosure downstairs and even happier next to the fire with us when we were home. The fact that the TV had no signal or channels meant we were able to relax with the games provided and complete a puzzle. Well equipped, clean, cozy, loved the inbuilt speakers and sound system, fully equipped kitchen etc, etc. It was just fantastic!

Hygge is well laid out with bedrooms and central living area. During the day the room becomes a sun trap which is beautiful and warm, even during winter!
Kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms nice and clean, fire wonderfully toasty and wildlife stunning. And our dog was allowed to join us! It was great to stay in a dog friendly property that wasn't compromised by 'doggy odour' or hair everywhere! If you have a dog or you don't, Hygge is equally suitable :)

The 7 of us were very happy with our stay, everything was beautiful, the home, the location, we felt very lucky to find this property. We would love to come stay again. Our send off on our last night was perfect having it snow the night before, the scenery off the balcony was perfect, you guys should advertise that on your website!
Thank you alpine getaways, you have created life lasting memories for us all :)
