Reviews

This is a beautiful property and certainly lives up to the description and photos on the website. It was quiet and very peaceful and we loved having the river so close. It was great being in walking distance of some of Harrietville's open gardens, the hotel and ice creamy and some lovely walks around town.

Lovely house with all the modern amenities. Big garden at the back of the house. Will definitely come back if we have the chance to visit Melbourne again!!

Amazing property that gives a touch of luxury in a perfect surrounding. Harrietville is a great venue for walking and much less busy than Bright

Our 4th or 5th year back and we will certainly be back again! Dieudonne is a beautifully cared for 'home' with lots of loving tasteful personal decorations. Always hard to leave! Thanks to Alpine Valley Getaways for a personal, easy and professional service!

This beautiful property is located in a peaceful place with a river at the end of the garden. Everything about the house is charming and well organised! We had a relaxing and luxurious stay here and will definitely return.

Dieudonne is an exceptional property. Beautifully appointed, spacious and great spaces to relax in, both inside and out. We'd definitely visit again.

Excellent house. Always clean and so comfy. We have stayed 4 years in a row now and plan to stay another 4!

Dieudonné is a charming cottage. It is beautifully appointed and very comfortable for two couples or a family - five adults in our case. The property is well located on the banks of the Ovens River, a short walk to Harrietvile's two cafes and two hotels. It is a pretty place to relax or to use as a base for exploring the region. It is only a half hour drive from Bright, where all our shopping and service needs were met.

This is a lovely property. Awesome location on the river and close to town. Very well appointed and very clean. We had a very relaxing stay and will be back again.

The owners of this property have been very thoughtful in every way for their guests. If I visited again I would need to pack far les as they have thought of everything, even down to mosquito coils and matches to keep the mozzies away at dusk for example (when you are enjoying a drink on the back veranda, listening to the sound of the creek flow by!). The wifi worked perfectly well for us which was important as my husband had to logon and do work everyday. Ignore an earlier comment left by another guest that the wifi password wasn't provided, as it came via a SMS as we arrived at the property on the first day.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet spot in Harrietville - the property is stunning.
The kitchen and cooking a facilities are great but we also loved going to the local pub, the Snowline Hotel, for dinner which is an easy walk up the road and does fabulous food incl kids meals for $10.

It was a perfect property for our stay and was beautifully furnished and fitted out. I could not recommend it highly enough and have already told friends about what a fabulous place it was to stay! We hope to return in the near future.

Outside lights were left on for us which made entry very easy late at night. Beautifully appointed house with quality linen. Everything is at your fingertips. The river flowing along the rear of the property is just magic. You could sit and listen to it for hours.

A superb house with every appointment and luxury you could imagine. The running stream at the back of the home is so blissful.

Dieudonne was a wonderful property from which to base our stay in the High Country. The house is new, spotless inside and fitted out with all mod cons. It was a pleasure to stay there. Only negative, and this is nothing to do with property, was that we were advised that there would be no facilities for infants, when in fact, a portacot and high chair were provided, meaning that we had lugged our own from Melbourne.

Enjoyed the stay :) very clean property!!

Dieudonne is a Beautiful house in a fantastic location with a great swimming spot for the kids at the end of the lawn. The owners have put a lot of love and care into the home with small personal touches.

Very well presented

The house was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely consider staying there again.

- Jantina - 03/08/2014
Our stay was perfect. The house is situated in the most beautiful town you could imagine. The house had everything in it that you needed to be really comfortable. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated and I would recommend it to any one who would wish to stay there.

Very comfortable home in a fantastic location by the river and a short stroll into town!

- Sander - 28/01/2014
Dieudonne was a fantastic property to stay in. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped with all items a family needs. Air-conditioning units in each living space were very welcome. All household appliances worked well and the instructions for use were clear and concise. Proximity to the Ovens River was great for afternoon cool downs (my toddler was a huge fan!). The only minor issue was the WiFi, it worked perfectly on our day of arrival but became very slow from the second day onward. Overall, we had an excellent and relaxing time at Dieudonne.
